I had 1 or 2 exceptions where the file or folder was within another (ie: ...\TaskCache\Tree\Microsoft\Windows\Media Center), which I deleted with no apparent errors so far. So that might be the case if you don't find it.
I did not touch anything in C:\Windows\system32\Tasks.
Good luck and hope this resolves your issue.
Another Solution of Windows 10 Task Scheduler Error
It's possibile create a schedule task available for a Group of users, but when start the trigger, the action of schedule task (powershell script) is execute only for the user that have activate the
trigger and for all users in the Group?
Example: My trigger is the event id 142.
When a user generate this event (on the Windows server 2012) the script powershell start only for the user logged which have generate the event and not for other users currently logged in the same Group on the same server?
I have had several issues with the Task Scheduler in Windows 7 Pro Windows 7 Home and Windows 8.1 Pro. After searching and not finding help for this from Microsoft there were some users suggestions which I tried but did not resolve my issues.

This solution did resolve the issues I had with Task Scheduler on two computers. And then I upgraded to Windows 10 a few months later without issue. There is the script listed, documentation, issues, etc. on this website to help you use the script, READ IT FIRST. It seems that Windows 10 has changed how Task Scheduler works and that change results in not having the issues as we did in the previous versions of Windows..
